Our polywrapping lines are equipped with missing product detectors & double sheet detectors to ensure that each polywrapped pack is fulfilled as it should be, and we undertake quality checks in accordance with the ISO9001:2000 quality procedures that we adhere to. We aim to keep publishers happy by keeping their readers, AND their advertisers happy.

Online inkjet addressing and variable postal indicia printing
Our polywrapping lines are equipped with online inkjet printers (Domino Bitjet 212), these are market leading inkjet printers capable of printing addresses, variable postal indicias (so a variety of postal services can be used for one mailing to reduce postage costs), barcodes etc onto polywrap or the magazine itself.

Laser printing
As an alternative to inkjetting we can print carrier sheets with our Xerox Nuvera digital laser printers, the Xerox Nuvera is the market leading sheet-fed monochrome digital printing system, it can laser print simplex and duplex at high speeds and the quality of print is unrivalled.

We also have Oce continuous reel laser printing capabilities for larger volume print runs, and we can source colour letterheads on reels and sheets.

Sorting, bagging, tagging, strapping and paletisation
We are experienced in adhering to the requirements of the various postal operators that collect from us. We make magazine mailings ready for collection by Royal Mail, alternative UK postal services, international postal operators, and courier companies every day. Wherever possible these processes are automated to reduce costs and improve production speeds and quality.

Data processing
We can provide a wide range of services, from simply cleansing your database or sorting your mailing list to Mailsort, Presstream, or country sequence, to developing and hosting a sophisticated subscription database system. We supply plain and printed polythene wrap
We can supply plain and printed polywrap to be run on our polywrapping machines, and environmentally friendly polywrap is available at little extra cost.

Production planning and account management
With our experience of working with magazine and journal publishers we
understand the nature of their business, and appreciate the need to be as flexible
as possible with production schedules. Our plans are communicated effectively at
morning and afternoon cross-functional planning meetings, and schedules are
available to be viewed on our intranet and on a 42” plasma screen in the
Production Planning department. So when clients contact their Account Executive
to find out the status of their job, or to see if we have space to fit in a mailing the
information is easily available.

Accurate pricing and scheduling
We are able to accurately predict our polywrapping machine running speeds and
our costs because we have built a database of past job information over many
years, so we can be confident that our polywrapping pricing is accurate and
sustainable and that schedules are planned accurately so that jobs are completed

Handwork
We have a team of handworkers for jobs that cannot be run on the polywrapping machines i.e. enclosing into polybags, bellybanding, applying post- it notes onto pages, boxing up magazines to be sent to advertisers and retailers etc.

Polywrapping
We have five Sitma polywrapping lines, and these have been developed specifically for the magazine / journal publishing sector (rather than the catalogue industry).

For example we are one of the few mailing houses to have covermounting/tip-on capabilities and selective insertion (intelligent insertion) stations on our polywrapping lines, and we can insert up to 10 items into polywrap.
